Public Health Research

We have the Public Health Professionals who can undertake socially relevant research and advocacy along with training and capacity building on various aspects of Public Health like Maternal and Child Health, Reproductive Health, Eye Care, Malnutrition and HIV/AIDS. UAPHE is solely dedicated towards public health research and health action for the well being of masses, and for strengthening people’s health movements to realize right to health and health care.
As a principle, we do not regard society as an object of experimentation and data collection merely for intellectual gratification. All efforts in UAPHE endeavor to create space for the participation of people without compromising on quality of research. Our professionals follow strict ethical guidelines for research which are structured around informed consent; confidentiality and relaying information back to relevant segments of society. We have the expert team members from various research backgrounds. Overall we are a multi disciplinary team with training and experience in Medicine, Life Sciences, Social Sciences, Social Work, Capacity Building, Interventions, and Biostatistics. Research team of UAPHE facilitates to build learning and knowledge platform leveraging on their cumulative skills and Experience.
It is equally important for us to be in a position to inform and communicate with the society. This effort is aligned with the procedures outlined in our communication plans. We certainly look forward to disseminate our research through various events, workshops, databases, and publications at International, National as well as State levels and also in International and National journals.
Behaviour Change & Communication
UAPHE has the technical expertise in developing the Behavior Change Communication Strategy. The BCC strategy frame work includes BCC campaign’s designing and development of IEC materials and its implementation on the ground. UAPHE in its current projects has developed BCC through the involvement of the project participants, and through the selection of best practices in BCC. This has seen development of some innovative BCC strategies which are then easily accepted by the community. Also there is a constant attempt made to keep the BCC updated based on the current needs of the projects and participants.
Training & Capacity Building
UAPHE has the capacity of training all health service providers – Doctors, both paramedical, and non-paramedical staff on clinical protocols and hospital management at the facility level. All its trainings follow the cascading model of capacity building.
